I don’t have a camera right now but I do have my tablet.

One of my favorite people from high school committed suicide. He was the school finance officer so he distributed our stipend every month, and despite the endless line of unruly teenagers too eager to get their money, he always smiled pleasantly at us and knew us by name and didn’t have to ask us what year we were in or what class section we belonged to. When he killed himself the whole town was abuzz with rumors that he was gay and/or he embezzled money from the school. I swear I wanted to punch the house help in the mouth when they talked about the incident as if they were there when he put the gun to his mouth.
